How you start and end your day 

• Uniform: Your workday begins by putting on the official Hermes uniform.

• Vehicle check: Make sure your vehicle is clean. The Hermes logo on the van must not be obscured, dirty, or damaged.

• Cargo securing: Check whether the cargo securing net is properly fastened in the loading area.

• Sorting packages: Load the packages into the vehicle conscientiously and strictly according to your route. Never throw the packages in randomly! Sorting packages by route order saves time and prevents later searching in the van.

Required equipment: Before you drive off, check that you have everything you need to work:

• Scanner, stylus (pen), and car charging cable with adapter.

• Printer connected to the scanner, as well as the charging cable for the printer.

• A regular ballpoint pen.

• Notification cards for customers.

• Collection cards for returns.

• All other stickers/labels to be placed on the packages as needed.

Once you have prepared everything, you are ready to drive!

• Undelivered packages (Lack of time): If you have shipments that you could not deliver to customers due to a lack of time, make sure to scan them and select the "Zeitmangel" (Lack of time) option on the scanner.

• Closing the scanner: By scanning all undelivered packages, you ensure that everything is properly and timely documented and that customers are automatically and correctly informed about the status.

• End of shift: After successfully scanning all remaining packages and closing the scanner, your work for the day is officially finished. You can go home and relax!
