Delivery process: There is no difference in the delivery process compared to normal shipments.
Handover: Delivery is made to the original recipient or directly to the home address.
Neighborhood delivery: When leaving a package with neighbors, always ask yourself whether the neighbor seems trustworthy and always make sure that the documentation in the scanner is entered correctly.
In case of doubt: If you have any doubts, ask to see an ID document and verify the details.
Golden rule: Never leave valuables in front of the door!
Recipient restriction: Shipments with the Ident-Service may ONLY be delivered to the original recipient and only upon presentation of a valid passport or identity card.
Foreign documents: This can also be a foreign ID document; a copy of the ID document is not permitted.
Expired documents: If the ID document has expired, the shipment must not be delivered. In this case, scan the return ID.
Explicit prohibitions:
NO delivery as an "unknown shipment".
NO handing over the shipment on the street.
NO neighborhood delivery.
NO unauthorized delivery to Paketshops (Parcel Shops).
NO leaving the shipment in front of the house/apartment (drop-off).
Scanner warning: The scanner informs you that there is a ban on neighborhood delivery. Click "OK".
Photo comparison: The ID document must always be presented by the original recipient. If another person presents the document (be sure to compare the photo), the shipment must not be delivered, even if an authorization is provided.
Name matching: All names displayed on the scanner (first name and surname) must completely match the names on the ID document. If the document contains more names than the scanner, only the names shown on the scanner are checked. The shipment must not be delivered if even a single letter is different (e.g., Torben on the scanner and Thorben on the ID card).
ID number entry: The ID card number can be entered in two ways, depending on the customer's requirements:
By entering the complete ID number (the scanner automatically checks the entry).
By adding only the last four digits of the ID number.
Minimum age (Date of birth): For certain Ident-Service shipments, the original recipient must meet an age requirement (e.g., at least 16 or 18 years old). In this case, the scanner automatically prompts you to enter the date of birth.
Three-error rule: If data is entered incorrectly three times, the shipment must no longer be delivered or handed over to the customer. Only when all data is correct and the verification is successful, the signature field opens.
If the verification fails, the scanner automatically sets the return reason (Return Reason) depending on the error:
Return reason IL: Set automatically if the verification of the ID photo fails (if you clicked "No" in the scanner).
Return reason IN: Set automatically if the name check fails (if you clicked "No" in the scanner).
Return reason ID: Set automatically if the verification of the ID number fails.
Return reason IA: Set automatically if the date of birth on the document does not meet the age requirement or if the date is entered incorrectly three times.
Fraud prevention: Never hand over valuable shipments on the street. Inform the customer that they must receive the shipment at their front door. Check at the given address whether the customer actually lives there, go to the front door, and wait for it to be opened. In this way, you prevent fraud.
